National Weather Service releases snow totals for northern R.I.

The National Weather Service released the following unofficial snow totals for the overnight hours of Feb. 17 to the morning of Feb. 18. The numbers for northern Rhode Island were obtained through a variety of means.

• Cumberland – 5.8 inches, 9 a.m. NWS employee.

• W. Foster – 5.7 inches, 7:20 a.m., co-op observer.

• North Providence – 5.5 inches, 8:44 a.m., general public.

• West Glocester. – 5.4 inches, 8:18 a.m., trained spotter.

• East Providence – 5 inches, 8 a.m., emergency manager.

• East Providence – 5 inches, 7:48 a.m., trained spotter.

• Scituate – 5 inches, 7:54 a.m., media.

• N. Providence – 4.8 inches, 7 a.m., Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network.

• Pawtucket – 4 inches, 8:15 a.m., general public.
